Plateau Breaker
Working hard but stuck at the same level? Answer six quick questions. You get a practice score, a stretch target and a 4-week plan you can tick off day by day.
What is holding you back
Your stretch target
Current: → practise towards
Your focused time: over 4 weeks. That is far from 10,000 hours — and that is fine. Focus counts more than hours.

What this tool does
It checks the five habits that turn plain repetition into real practice: a clear goal, working on the weak part, a little discomfort, outside feedback and honest measuring. Each habit is worth 20 points. Then it sets a target about 15% past where you are and gives you a week-by-week plan.
When it is useful
- Your sales, exam marks or language level have stayed flat for months.
- You work long hours but feel you are not getting better.
- You want a skill-based raise or a better job and need a plan, not motivation.
How to read your result
0–40 (Autopilot): you are mostly repeating. More hours will not help; changing how you practise will. 41–79 (Purposeful): you are on the right track but one or two missing habits are capping you. 80–100 (Deliberate): your method is strong. If you are still stuck, the usual cause is weak feedback — find a better coach or record yourself.
What it cannot tell you
- It cannot see your actual skill — only how you describe your practice.
- The 15% target is a rule of thumb, not science for every skill.
- It cannot fix outside problems: a bad market, a bad employer, health or heavy stress.
- Tracker ticks live in your browser. Clearing browser data deletes them.

Questions
What does the Plateau Breaker do?
It checks five habits that separate useful practice from plain repetition, gives a score out of 100, sets a stretch target 15% past your current level and builds a 4-week plan with a daily tracker.
Which skills can I use it for?
Any skill you can measure with one number: sales calls, typing speed, a language level, exam marks, cooking speed, words written per hour, and so on.
Is my data saved or sent anywhere?
Nothing is sent anywhere. Everything runs in your browser. The daily tracker ticks are kept only on your own device.
Why a 15% stretch target?
Growth happens just outside your comfort zone. About 10 to 20% past your normal level is hard enough to show your weak spots but not so hard that you give up.
Can this tool guarantee I will improve?
No. It gives you a better method. Results depend on doing the sessions, honest measuring and good feedback.
