Negotiation Planner
A raise, a rent increase, a car price, a deal with a client. Ten minutes of planning beats an hour of arguing. Fill in the boxes — the tool turns them into a one-page plan, the way Getting to Yes teaches.
Baat se pehle teen cheezein likho: mujhe yeh kyun chahiye, unhe kyun nahi dena, aur deal na bani to mera doosra raasta kya hai. Doosra raasta jitna mazboot, aawaaz utni shaant. Insaan ke saath naram, masle ke saath sakht.

2 · Fair standards I can point to
Tick what you can check before the talk. Outside facts end ego fights.
3 · Options where both can win
Write every idea — even strange ones. Don't judge yet.

What this tool does
It walks you through the four ideas of Getting to Yes — interests, fair standards, options and separating the person from the problem — plus the book's safety net, the BATNA (your best alternative if there's no deal). Then it puts your answers on one page you can read again just before the talk, and shows how strong your position really is.
When to use it
- The evening before you ask for a raise, or answer a rent increase.
- Before you buy a car, a phone contract or anything big.
- Before quoting a price to a client.
- Before a hard family talk — where the relationship matters more than "winning".
How to read the answer
The BATNA meter is the honest part. If it is weak, don't bluff — spend a week making it stronger first (look at other flats, apply for one other job, get a second quote). If your plan has no fair standards, find at least one before you go in: a pay scale, the official rent table (Mietspiegel in Germany), or three market prices.
What it cannot tell you
- It cannot know the other side's real situation — your guesses about their interests are guesses.
- It gives no legal advice. For rent or work contracts, check your local rules or a tenant/worker association.
- It does not save anything. Copy your plan before leaving the page.

FAQ
What is a BATNA?
Your Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement — what you will actually do if this deal does not happen. It is your real power, because it tells you when to say no.
Position vs interest?
A position is what someone asks for ("open the window"). An interest is why ("I need fresh air"). Interests can usually be met in more than one way.
What are fair standards?
Outside measures neither side controls: market prices, official rent tables, pay scales, laws, expert opinion.
Is my plan saved anywhere?
No. Everything stays on this page in your browser. Use "Copy plan".
Does this guarantee a yes?
No. It makes you prepared and calm. Sometimes the right result is a polite no — your BATNA tells you when.
